Batting Cages

Our batting cages are a great way to practice baseball or softball indoors. Whether you are looking to do some pitching, live hitting, or use one of our new pitching machines, our batting cages will allow you to sharpen your skills while staying out of the elements.

The Byron Park District is now offering use of pitching machines with your batting cage rental. Currently the Park District has a baseball machine and two baseball/softball combo pitching machines available. Your batting cage rental includes use of one pitching machine, pitching machine balls (softballs or baseballs), and one L screen. Guests high school and older may use the batting cages. Guests 8th grade and younger must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please note: The use of batting cages is not included with memberships, punch cards or daily drop-ins. Batting cages can be reserved in advance by calling 815-234-8435.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION: All persons utilizing the batting cage for any form of hitting must wear a helmet at all times. The Park District does not provide helmets.
