What kid doesn't love some creative imagination? During this workshop, Debbie and Julie will be working hands on with each child to help them create the perfect card for any special occasion! Take a trip to the moon with the astronauts, be wisped away with a magical fairy, find hidden treasure with the pirates, or see what lies beyond the ocean surface with the mermaids! Each child will be stamping, gluing, coloring and will select the perfect message for inside their own unique cards. Use them for an upcoming birthday for a friend, or display them as a keepsake in the scrapbook! Each registration will include all the materials needed to create two cards.

Painting Pals

NEW!! Come join Devin Stoll, the owner of The Velvet Poppy here in Byron and learn how to create your very own terrarium. In this workshop participants will learn about the components of a terrarium, what they can do, and how to care for them. Each participant will receive their own terrarium kit with all supplies including a terrarium guide and 3 live plants. Then the fun begins as participants design and create their own terrarium to take home! This class is located at Blackhawk Meadow Park Shelter. Please register by June 26th to guarantee your spot.

Come join local Artist Kathie Bridges for a creative and innovative way to make art! Have you ever wondered how some things are made? Or wanted to create some unique sculptures from a variety of items? If so, then this class is for you! During Art from Parts, you will learn how to deconstruct various objects such as old electronics and use dissembled pieces to reconstruct your very own one of a kind sculptures and masterpieces. This class will spark imagination and creativity in a multitude of ways! Both classes take place at the Blackhawk Meadow Park Shelter. Register by July 28 to claim your spot. *Parents: although safety will be highly stressed and your child will have adult supervision, we will be using tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire cutters etc. to deconstruct and re-build their sculptures. We will also be using non-washable paint for our projects. Please send your artist with a pair of work gloves, safety glasses and in old clothing.
