Byron Park District Board Meetings

The Byron Park District Board of Commissioners' meetings are scheduled every third Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. and are open to the public. If you plan to attend, please call in advance to verify meeting date, time and location or see the agendas below. Meetings may be changed and/or added pending the need to do so.

The Byron Park District is subject to the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Board Election Information 

To be eligible to serve, a park board member must be, on the date of election, a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years old, a registered voter, and a resident of the State of Illinois and the Byron Park District for at least one year immediately preceding the election.  Elections are non-partisan and board candidates do not indicate a political party affiliation.  Candidates should be aware of financial conflict-of-interest limitations set forth in state law.

The Board of Commissioners Election Information Nominating petition forms for the April 1, 2025 park board election for the Byron Park District will be available beginning August 20, 2024. The petition form packet may be picked up at the Guest Services Desk (500 N Colfax St.) during normal operating hours.

The District will have one (1) Six Year Commissioner Position available for election at the April 2025 Consolidated Election.  The District Commissioners serve six (6) year terms.  Petition Packets will be available at the Guest Services Desk (500 N. Colfax St.) or at the Ogle County Clerks Office/Website.  The filing period for petition packets will be November 12 – 18, 2024.
