Visual Arts

This class happens over the course of two days: August 8 & 9. Come join local Artist Kathie Bridges for a creative and innovative way to make art! Have you ever wondered how some things are made? Or wanted to create some unique sculptures from a variety of items? If so, then this class is for you! During Art from Parts, you will learn how to deconstruct various objects such as old electronics and use dissembled pieces to reconstruct your very own one of a kind sculptures and masterpieces. This class will spark imagination and creativity in a multitude of ways! Both classes take place at the Blackhawk Park Shelter. *Parents: although safety will be highly stressed and your child will have adult supervision, we will be using tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire cutters etc. to deconstruct and re-build their sculptures. We will also be using non-washable paint for our projects. Please send your artist with a pair of work gloves, safety glasses and in old clothing.

Each participant will paint their own canvas. All painting materials are included with the registration fee.
